U In Butte
A layout redesign and visual refresh of the U in Butte Newsletter — a Butte College publication centered on diversity, equity, inclusion, anti-racism, and accessibility — completed as a Graphic Design Intern at Tehama Group Communications.
To redesign a more consistent visual system the newsletter received improved text–image alignment, refined pull quote placement, and organized hierarchy for photography placement on the front cover.
I also made data visualizations for a feature story on Butte County's homeless population — pie charts representing demographics discussed in the article. These denote trends in mentally ill, LGBTQ, & unsheltered members of the population (spring 2024).
