A series of motion typography pieces that translate abstract words into animated visuals — using movement, sound, and typographic form to make meaning felt as much as read. Inspired by the intro to Netflix's "Love Death Robots."
Every letter of IMP was utilized to represent an imp's jaw laughing.
HOUSE was conveyed with a building-like assembly with the flipping of the U as its front door.
MAFIA, being the most abstract of the three, received a more spatial representation showing its oversight of the first two.
While each letter and word behaves based on the concept behind it, sound was just as integral. Audio cues were chosen to reinforce the rhythm and tone of each animation, making the typography as auditory as it is kinetic.
